Test 3

Ruppert, McDevitt named Players of the Game

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV sports crew covered three games over the past week.

We were at North Attleboro’s Raymond E. Beaupre Field on April 7 when the Red Rocketeers hosted the Canton Bulldogs in boys’ lacrosse. The final looked more like a football score with North rolling to a 17-7 win. Senior Connor Ruppert, number-21, led the Rocketeers’ scoring attack by finding the back of the net nine times to be named our North TV Player of the Game.

Our Plainville crew was at King Philip’s Macktaz Field Monday for girls’ lacrosse action. The Warriors trounced Taunton 16-0 for their third win in as many outings thanks to a fast start by Mackenzie McDevitt, number 19. The freshman attacker recorded a hat trick, scoring with 24:03 left in the first half, again 36 seconds later and one more time with 10:55 left to be named our North TV Player of the Game.

Connor and Mackenzie will receive personalized DVDs of their games, Player of the Game t-shirts in their school colors and a North TV sports bag for their effort.

Our team was back at KP Wednesday for the volleyball team’s 3-1 loss to Millis. The Player of the Game will be announced next week.
