PLAINVILLE - An emotional event was held Friday when the basketball and tennis courts in Telford Park were named in honor of the late Malia Jusczyk.
The Plainville teenager passed away on June 14, 2023 after a heroic battle against relapsed neuroblastoma.
John Teiner, the director of Plainville park & recreation, served as emcee of Friday's ceremony.
Speakers included State Representative Marcus Vaughn, Mark Noonan of John's Dream Ice Cream, and Malia’s parents Glen and Megan Jusczyk.
