WRENTHAM - It was another busy week for the North TV sports crew with four games in five days.
We were at King Philip Monday (10/2) as the Warriors’ girls’ soccer team booted visiting North Attleboro 5-nil, we were back at KP on Wednesday (10/4) for the Warriors 1-nil thriller over Canton in boys' soccer, Community Field was the site of Friday’s (10/6) 33-13 football victory by Milford over the host Red Rocketeers, while another crew was at KP's gridiron for the Warriors’ 52-to-nothing annihilation of Attleboro.
Our North TV Player of the Week for those games is King Philip's Sean Woods.
Number 88 has certainly filled the big shoes left when Matt Kelley graduated in the spring.
The junior placekicker was successful on all seven extra points – not an easy accomplishment at the high school level – and added a career-best 35-yard field goal in the big win.
Sean will receive a copy of Saturday’s win and a Player of the Week shirt in King Philip gold. We’ll announce our sixth Player of the Week next week at this time.
