NORTH ATTLEBORO - The generosity of the Hockomock Area YMCA’s members and the North Attleboro police department as part of the seventh annual Operation Backpack Drive was on display Wednesday outside of the organization’s North Attleboro main entrance.
Backpacks for students ages 4 to 18 were available for pickup, while others were donated to the Department of Children and Families for children in foster care, the program coordinated for many years by former State Representative Betty Poirier.
