PLAINVILLE - A milestone birthday is being celebrated in the downtown.
An Unlikely Bookstore, at the corner of South and West Bacon streets, kicked off its 10th birthday Friday with a 10-day celebration packed with events, giveaways, special guests, and community fun.
Since opening in 2015, the bookstore has grown into a nationally recognized literary destination, hosting bestselling authors and nationally known figures.
The celebration runs through June 1 and will feature a dance party, open house, tours, photo ops, free ice cream, karaoke, trivia, music, and more.
