PLAINVILLE - It was a relatively quiet week for the North TV staff with only two games on the schedule.
We were at one of the Plainville Athletic League softball diamonds on Monday, May 6 for King Philip’s 10-0 shut out of Mansfield.
We were scheduled to cablecast the Mansfield at North Attleboro girls’ lacrosse game on Wednesday but weren’t notified of the earlier start and arrived at halftime.
We had the right time on Friday when the North boys’ hosted Sharon in lacrosse. The Red Rocketeers were edged by the Eagles 7-6.
Our Player of the Week for those two games is King Philip’s Jody Bennett.
The senior pitcher limited Mansfield to only one-hit over seven innings, striking out nine and walking none.
As of the that game, she had not allowed a walk in 24 innings
Jody will receive a copy of KP's win over Mansfield and a Player of the Week t-shirt in King Philip gold.
