NORTH ATTLEBORO - An embarrassingly low 3.7 percent of North Attleboro's registered voters decided to participate in Tuesday’s annual town election.
The percentage might have been low due to the fact that there was only one contested race to be decided: two three-year seats on the school committee.
Former committee member, selectman and finance committee member David Chee topped the ballot with 448 votes. Incumbent and school committee chair Ethan Hamilton finished second with 427 votes.
John Costello failed in his attempt to earn a second term on the committee, finishing third with 404 votes. First time candidate Charles Dobre-Badobre finished a distant third with 223 votes.
Chee, Hamilton and Dobre-Badobre visited our studio after the results were announced.
