Council approves North tax rate for 2025

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Town councilors met remotely Monday night to review and discuss the vote on tax classification taken on November 25.

The meeting was held after an error was found in some of the cells in the spreadsheet submitted before last week’s vote.

Property tax bills will be going up approximately $152 compared to last year for the owner of a typical home, after the council approved a slight shift in the tax burden from businesses to homeowners.

The rates will be $11.79 compared to this year’s $11.54 for residences, $15.72 – up from $15.53 this year – for commercial and industrial properties, and $15.67 for personal property.
