Test 3

Doherty, Sottile newest Players of the Game

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The winter sports season is winding down and so is the North TV schedule.

Our crew was at the NAHS Pickering Gymnasium last Friday night for Canton’s 71-41 rout of the Red Rocketeers. Summer Doherty was one of the bright spots for North. The senior guard scored all of her 15 points in the second half, accounting for more than a third of the Rocketeers’ total to be named our North TV Player of the Game.

North TV was at King Philip Tuesday night for the Warriors Kelley-Rex meeting with Attleboro in boys’ basketball. KP trailed by only five in the third quarter when a fire alarm stopped play for a half-hour. The Blue Bombardiers found their game during the break, rolling to a 69-44 victory. Senior forward Braeden Sottile paced the Warriors with 16 points to be named our North TV Player of the Game.

Summer and Braeden will each receive personalized DVDs of their game, Player of the Game t-shirts in their school colors and North TV sports bag for their efforts.

We only have two games remaining before the playoffs begin later this month.

The North TV van will be outside of the Kenneth Pickering Gymnasium Tuesday night for coverage of the Randolph at North Attleboro boys’ basketball game at 6:30 p.m.

The last of the 25 games cablecast and streamed this season will be held the next night with the basketball version of the Thanksgiving Day game. The Red Rocketeers will host the Blue Bombardiers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23. Both of those games will be LIVE right here on our Community Channel.
