NORTH ATTLEBORO - The town's finance subcommittee unanimously approved a recommendation to the town council for a transfer of more than $35,000 from free cash to payroll.
The money would be used to compensate former town administrator, interim town manager and assistant town manager Michael Gallagher for unused vacation time.
Gallagher retired on June 30, the end of the 2021 fiscal year.
