Fire leaves Plainville family homeless, fundraiser underway

PLAINVILLE - A three-alarm fire during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day has left a town family in search of a new home.

The fire at 149 Wampum Street, between South Street and Route 495, resulted in fire, smoke and water damage to the entire house and the Fisher family with no possessions

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family.

North TV spoke to Plainville Fire Chief Richard Ball on Thursday about the fire.
