NORTH ATTLEBORO - An eyesore at the ends Richards Avenue and Bank Street will be demolished next week
Town officials announced Thursday the dilapidated Webster Mill building would be razed on Monday and Tuesday due to safety concerns.
The decision to demolish the building was made 24 hours after the town issued a press release on Wednesday about road closures near the mill.
Broadway was closed to all traffic at 4 p.m. on Wednesday with detour signs posted directing southbound traffic to Richards Avenue, right onto South Washington Street, then another right to Eddy Street and a left back to Broadway.
Northbound traffic is detoured from Broadway to Bank street, a left onto Morse Street, then a left onto Richards Avenue and a right back to Broadway.
