NORTH ATTLEBORO - It was a quiet week for the North TV sports crew with only two games played on the same night.
We were out west last Friday night for number-9 seed North Attleboro’s 22-14 upset over number-8 West Springfield in the MIAA’s Division 3 football playoffs. The win advanced the Red Rocketeers to Friday night’s quarterfinals at Milford.
We were also at King Philip last Friday for the Warriors' 41-0 rout of Diman Regional Vocational Technical school. KP, the number-1 seed, advanced to the Division 2 football quarterfinals against number-9 Winchester.
Our North TV Player of the Week for those two games is Chase Frisoli.
North Attleboro’s quarterback, number 5, rushed for two touchdowns and passed for a two-point conversion. He finished the night with 123 yards passing and 120 yards on the ground to be named our North TV Player of the Week.
Chase will receive a copy of Friday’s win and a Player of the Week shirt in North Attleboro red. We’ll announce our tenth Player of the Week next week at this time.
