NORTH ATTLEBORO - As the school year begins to ramp up, local public school districts are taking differing approaches.
Private schools, such as Saint Mary’s-Sacred Heart and Bishop Feehan have already resumed classes; with public schools set to begin on September 18. Towns such as North Attleboro are taking a hybrid approach, whereas King Philip has opted to start fully remote.
Executive director Peter Gay talked to King Philip’s Superintendent Paul Zinni on Tuesday about how this decision has been received by parents.
"I've worked in three different communities over my career, in many different capacities, and I have been consistently blown away by the amount of support, caring and understanding that I've seen in King Philip," said Zinni.
Zinni also said that he acknowledges things may look different, but that the staff at King Philip is still committed to providing the highest quality of education possible for its students.
