PLAINVILLE - The winners of a Wood School PTO fundraiser were treated to a once in a lifetime opportunity recently.
Students were not only received breakfast at the An Unlikely Story bookstore, they were also chauffeured back to school by Diary of a Wimpy Kid creator Jeff Kinney.
The author and cartoonist drove the students back to school in a special van wrapped in a cover of the 19th book in the Wimpy Kid series, Hot Mess.
Students were accompanied on the ride by the lead character in the series, Greg Heffley.
Kinney was more than graceful to the students, opening the door and posing for pictures.
