NORTH ATTLEBORO - Environmental Protection Agency officials this week announced the town will be receiving $500,000 to mitigate contamination at the former Courtois property on Mendon Road.
The land is best known as the home of the Boulter Family Farm, a former pig farm.
The land has not been used since 1988 due to petroleum contamination from nearby Rhode Island.
North Attleboro Economic Development Coordinator Lyle Pirnie was instrumental in getting the grant, one of only six awarded in Massachusetts.
