NORTH ATTLEBORO - The fire department honored 11 firefighters during the department’s annual pinning ceremony Tuesday night at the middle school.
Town Clerk Patricia McNielly swore George McKinnon into his new role as the department’s first assistant fire chief, followed by Capt. Scott Langille, Lt. Richard Cullen, Fire Alarm Superintendent James Kern and three new transfer firefighters: Michael Gilligan, Andres Nunez and Tyler Ruggiero.
Thirty years of service awards were presented to Lt. Shawn Brillon and Firefighter Michael Mullen.
Twenty-five year service awards were given to Capt. Michael Bristol and Kern.
