NORTH ATTLEBORO - Derek Herber (Class of ’91), Erica MacDonald Laplante (class of 2005), and long-time coach Patti Johnson will be among the individuals honored February 8, 2025 by the North Attleboro High School Alumni Association at its annual awards reception.
Herber and Johnson will be recipients of the Excellence in Education Award, joined by fellow long-time educators Wayne Griffin, Scott Holster, and Donna Newbury.
The award is given annually to recognize current or past staff members of all town schools for their exceptional commitment to excellence in the classroom and dedication to the students, staff, and the schools
MacDonald Laplante will be awarded the Young Alumni Award, recognizing notable accomplishments in the first 20 years after graduating from NAHS.
This year’s Community Impact Award will be given to North Attleboro Middle School teacher Jason Fied (class of 1990), highlighting his nationally-recognized success with the Hoops for Hearts charitable program.
Finally, Ernie Sandland will receive the Honorary Alumni Award for his years of tireless effort in support of the town’s schools, construction and improvements.
The banquet will be held at high school, on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
A reception and cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a reception and awards presentation at 7 p.m.
