NORTH ATTLEBORO - Students at the town's middle school celebrated their 25th anniversary of participating in the American Heart Association’s American Heart Challenge service-learning program, putting their donation over that time at more than $1.3 million.
Known as the middle school’s Hoops for Heart event, the day gave students the opportunity to feel good, while doing good.
Middle school physical education teachers Jason Feid and John Dempsey once again spearheaded the program.
More than 700 students participated in a variety of basketball activities, 3 on 3 tournaments, a teacher dunk contest, a bounce house obstacle course, business sponsored activity stations and more.
