Test 3

Mordas leads Feehan to win, earns POTW honors

ATTLEBORO - It was a relatively quiet week for the North TV sports crew with only four games later in the week.

We were in the Tri-County gymnasium Wednesday for the Cougars’ 3-1 win over Southeastern Regional.

After taking Thursday off, we brought viewers two Friday night football games live.

King Philip trounced Taunton 35-0 at Macktaz Field on our Community Channel.

That score was close compared to North Attleboro’s 51-7 stomping of Stoughton on homecoming night at the Raymond E. Beaupre Jr. Field. That game played on our Education Channel.

It was also homecoming Saturday at Bishop Feehan’s McGrath Stadium, where the Shamrocks blasted previously unbeaten Bishop Fenwick 31-7.

Our Player of the Week for last week comes from that game, Feehan quarterback Owen Mordas. The junior, wearing number-9, ran nine times for 72-yards, two of which were 33-yarders and completed 7 of 15 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns to earn North TV’s Player of the Week honors.

Owen will receive a copy of the win over Bishop Fenwick on a USB drive and a North TV Player of the Week t-shirt in Bishop Feehan green.

We’ll announce our Player of the Week for this week next week at this time.
