Residents weigh in on North's MBTA plans

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The planning board hosted a public hearing Thursday night on the town’s plans to abide by the MBTA Communities Act.

Massachusetts state law requires multi-family zoning for communities that host or are near MBTA lines.

Special zoning districts of at least 50 acres of multi-unit and preferable affordable housing is required with a minimum of 15 units per acre. That would require a minimum of 750 units.
