New council sworn-in, current council questioned

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Before the start of Wednesday night’s town council meeting, the councilors serving the next two years starting July 1st were sworn in during ceremonies held in the lobby at town hall.

Moments later, the current council met downstairs in the lower level conference room.

Kathleen Prescott and Patrick Reynolds were honored for serving the past two years.

Prescott did not run for re-election, opting to run for a seat on the town’s school committing, which was unsuccessful.

Reynolds also decided not to run again.

John Costello and Patricia St. Pierre will replace them.

Later in the meeting, resident Dick Kieltyka voiced his opposition to projects approved by the council.
