NORTH ATTLEBORO - Town officials are busy negotiating an extension of the Verizon cable contract when it expires next year.
The new contract would be for five years and would run through 2029.
The proposed contract, including an HD channel for North TV, was discussed during Wednesday night’s meeting of the cable TV advisory committee on Wednesday.
The meeting was held at North TV due to flood damage in the town's hall lower level conference room from the September 11 deluge that hit the area.
That meeting can be seen in its entirety through Thursday on North TV’s Government Channel: Comcast channel 98 and Verizon channel 23.
