PLAINVILLE - Youngsters who play baseball and softball at the Plainville Athletic Fields will be happy when they field their positions this summer.
An irrigation system hooked up to town water will be available for the first time resulting in green outfield grass and infields that will no longer by dry, dusty and wind-driven.
Members of the select board received an update during their semi-monthly meeting Monday night from Joe Kettell of Plainville Pump and Excavating, who is donating the work for the youth of Plainville.
