PLAINVILLE - Members of the select board were introduced to the newest captain in the town's fire department.
Fire Chief Richard Ball introduced Lt. Dean Casbara to the rank of captain during the board's semimonthly meeting Monday night.
Town Clerk Cynthia Bush handled the swearing-in ceremony.

Brett Maduskuie was then introduced as the newest member of the fire department.

Casbara and Maduskuie were followed by the signing of a new agreement between the town and Plainville Permanent Firefighters I.A.F.F. Local 3415 that will take effect on July 1 and run through June 30, of 2026.
