PLAINVILLE - Stanley Widak on Monday (June 29) was elected to a three-year term on the board of selectmen.
Widak, who won an election in April of 2019 to fill the last year of a unexpired term, defeated Christopher Desprez 1,236 to 1,129 – a margin of only 107 votes.
It was the lone contested race on the annual election ballot.
Selectmen held their first meeting the following night and Jeff Johnson was elected to serve as chair through the April 5, 2021 election.
