PLAINVILLE - Residents will be asked for the second time in less than 10 months to approve a Proposition 2.5 override.
One thousand, forty-nine residents voted against a $3.25 million override on July 1 of last year, compared to 1,030 who were in support of the tax increase.
Members of Plainville’s board of selectmen met virtually Thursday night to discuss placing a similar question on the ballot. They decided by a 2-1 vote, with Jeff Johnson dissenting, to place a $1.95 million override on the ballot when voters go to the polls for the town’s April 5 election.
