Test 3

Plainville set for budget vote

PLAINVILLE - Residents will assemble Monday, June 3 at 7 p.m. in the room that triples as an auditorium, cafeteria and gymnasium inside the Beatrice Wood School.

Attendees will tackle a warrant that consists of 22 articles, but it will be the second article – approving a $42.3 million operating budget for the new fiscal year that begins July 1 – that is expected to garner the most discussion.

Select Board Chair Brian Kelly and Town Adminsitrator Brian Noble visited North TV Tuesday for a recording of “The Chairman’s Report” to review each of the 22 articles.

The operating budget and the positive impact new growth has on the town’s finances was discussed at length.

That edition of “The Chairman’s Report” can be seen in its entirety through Thursday on North TV’s Government Channel: Comcast channel 98 and Verizon channel 23.

“The Chairman’s Report: Preview of the June 3 Annual Town Meeting” is also available for streaming on that same North TV website, now a FREE service to all Plainville residents, and on North TV’s YouTube channel.
