NORTH ATTLEBORO - Town officials are asking community members to sign up for its new emergency alert system, Everbridge, to stay updated in the event of an emergency.
North Attleboro is now using Everbridge to communicate with residents and businesses during emergencies and other critical events.
Those previously registered to receive notifications via CodeRed are asked to sign up for Everbridge, as the town’s CodeRed system will no longer be in operation.
Community members who sign up for Everbridge will receive alerts about various events, from severe weather, fire, floods, and other emergencies to more routine announcements, such as road closures and water utility maintenance.
Messages will be sent to residents on their preferred devices, including cell phones, SMS, home phones, email, and more, to ensure real-time access to potentially lifesaving equipment.
