Richards Memorial Library rededicated

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Sunday was anything but relaxing with four events making for a busy day in the downtown drawing thousands of residents and others from neighboring communities.

The day kicked off with the Leftover Turkey Trot 5K Run, Walk, Stroll or Roll at 11 a.m. A field of approximately 550 participants was the largest in the three years of the race held the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

The race was followed by the rededication of the Richards Memorial Library. The library, built in 1894, has undergone extensive renovations including new windows, insulation, HVAC and electical upgrades, installation of a new accessible entry ramp, and more.

The day ended with the Downtown Associates of North Attleborough's Santa Parade and the lighting of the town's Christmas trees.

The library rededication can be seen in its entirety on North TV's Government Channel: Comcast channel 98 and Verizon channel 23 in North Attleboro.
