Rodeo organizers want second chance

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Seven months after eight bulls escaped from a pen set up for a rodeo in the southwest corner of the Emerald Square Mall parking lot, organizers of the event spoke before the North Attleboro town council seeking permission to try again later this spring.

Back on September 22, the bulls escaped a pen, crashed through a fence, bolted across Route 1 and made their way across the Attleboro line.

Seven of the bulls were apprehended within hours, while the eighth was caught more than 24 hours near the plaza behind Fashion Crossing.

Fortunately, no one and none of the animals were injured.
