PLAINVILLE - The town's select board approved the town’s tax rate for 2023 during their meeting on Monday night.
The three member board unanimously adopted a proposed rate of $12.48 for residential properties and $18.34 for commercial and industrial properties.
The current tax rate for residential properties is $14.03 per $1,000 assessed value and $18.20 per $1,000 for commercial properties.
Principal Assessor John Groh presented the statistics and recommendation of the town’s board of assessors.
The rates must be approved by the state before they are implemented.
