NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV staff was busy last week with Hockomock League games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
We were at North Attleboro’s Raymond E. Beaupre Jr. Field Monday for a battle of two North TV boys' lacrosse teams, King Philip and North. The Warriors walked away with an easy win, nearly doubling the Red Rocketeers 11-6.
Our crew was at the nearby William Kelly Field on Wednesday for Mansfield’s 3-1 softball stunner over North Attleboro. The win was only the fourth for the Hornets against 12 losses; the Red Rocketeers dropped to 8-and-7.
We closed out the week back at the Beaupre Field. The home team was victorious in this one with North rolling past Norton 15-6.
Our Player of the Week comes from Monday’s game. King Philip’s junior attacker Mason Thompson, number-27, scored three goals and assisted on three others to be named our Player of the Week.
Mason will receive a copy of the win over North Attleboro on a USB drive and a Player of the Week t-shirt in King Philip gold.
