NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North TV staff was busy last week with games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
We started the week at King Philip for boys’ lacrosse. The hometown Warriors doubled North Attleboro 20-10 in the season opener for both teams.
Our crew was back at KP on Wednesday inside the gymnasium for boys’ volleyball. The Warriors rallied from a 2-1 deficit to take the final two sets for a 3-2 thriller over Dighton-Rehoboth.
We closed out the week at Community Field for Seekonk at North Attleboro baseball. The Red Rocketeers defeated the reigning MIAA Division 5 state champions 2-1 on a walkoff single.
That single was delivered by our Player of the Week Nick Torres.
The junior catcher, wearing number 2, had a solid game behind the plate and an even bigger one AT the plate with three hits, a walk and the game-winning RBI.
Torres will receive a copy of Friday’s game on a USB drive and a North TV Player of the Week t-shirt in North Attleboro red.
