Town meeting approves $42.3 million Plainville budget

PLAINVILLE - Residents attending Monday’s annual town meeting at the Beatrice Wood School unanimously passed a $42.3 million operating budget for the new fiscal year that begins on July 1.

That number is almost $2 million more than the $40.3 million budget passed for the current fiscal year.

Finance Committee Chair Mark Johnson introduced the measure, followed by an explanation by Select Board Chair Brian Kelly.
