Council approves $105.85 million budget

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Town councilors unanimously approved the budget for the new fiscal year starting on July 1.

The $105.85 million budget was the topic of a public hearing last week in which town resident Dick Kieltyka accused councilors of giving in to special interest groups.

Before their vote on Monday night, councilors heard from resident John Donahue. With Kieltyka seated behind him, Donahue countered the accusations made at last week's public hearing.

Monday’s meeting can be seen in its entirety on North TV’s Government Channel: Comcast channel 98 and Verizon channel 23.
